12 September 2023 ~ Royal Hotel Saigon, Vietnam. The Strengthening Institutional Capacity of AHA Centre Project (SICAP) Workshop. This Workshop was attended by members of the working group on global leadership namely the ASEAN Member States from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam as well as the ASEAN Secretariat and AHA Centre.
The Senior Assistant Director (Coordination Operation) NADMA Malaysia presented the vision on developing ASEAN roadmap for training and capacity building in disaster management, which will be deliberated and considered by the other AMS representatives.

7 September 2023 ~ The Second Stakeholder Mapping Exercise for Strengthening AHA Centre’s Capability to Respond Effectively to Human Induced Crises was held this morning. This Workshop was officiated by the Deputy Director General (Policy) NADMA Malaysia and attended by the ASEAN Member States from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam as well as the ASEAN Secretariat and AHA Centre. This Workshop was led by RedR Australia as the consultant of this project.

This Workshop was co-hosted by NADMA Malaysia together with the AHA Centre with the support from the Penang State Government.

6 September 2023 ~ The Wembley - A St Giles Hotel Penang, Malaysia, The Sixth Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management Working Group on Preparedness, Response and Recovery was held this afternoon. The Deputy Director General (Policy) NADMA Malaysia co-chaired the Meeting together with Singapore and Myanmar. This Meeting was attended by members of the working group on preparedness, response and recovery namely the ASEAN Member States from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand as well as the ASEAN Secretariat and AHA Centre.
 
There were also attendees from WFP, UNDP, ADB, JAIF Management Team, and PREDIKT who were joining the meeting during the open session.
This Meeting was co-hosted by NADMA Malaysia together with the AHA Centre with the support from the Penang State Government.

5 September 2023 ~ The Wembley - A St Giles Hotel Penang, Malaysia, The Fourth Project Steering Committee Meeting for the Strengthening AHA Centre’s Capability to Respond Effectively to Human Induced Crises (AHA-Australia) Project was held this afternoon. The Deputy Director General (Policy) NADMA Malaysia co-chaired the Meeting together with Singapore and Myanmar. This Meeting was attended by members of the PSC namely the ASEAN Member States from Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand as well as the ASEAN Secretariat, AHA Centre and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australia.
This Meeting was co-hosted by NADMA Malaysia together with the AHA Centre with the support from the Penang State Government.

4 September 2023 ~ YB Datuk Ugak Anak Kumbong, Timbalan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Hal Ehwal Sabah, Sarawak dan Tugas-Tugas Khas) telah menyampaikan ucaptama dan seterusnya merasmikan program Jerayawara One ASEAN, One Response (OAOR) bertempat di JEN Penang Georgetown Hotel, Pulau Pinang.

Jerayawara ini adalah anjuran bersama di antara Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara (NADMA) dan pihak Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri (SUK) Pulau Pinang dengan Kerjasama daripada ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre). lanya disertai wakil-wakil daripada Kementerian dan agensi berkaitan pengurusan bencana di peringkat negeri Pulau Pinang serta di peringkat Persekutuan.

Selain itu, program turut diserikan dengan kehadiran wakil-wakil Kedutaan dan Pesuruhjaya Tinggi daripada negara-negara ASEAN, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Kesatuan Eropah, Republik Rakyat China, Jepun dan Republik Korea. Secara keseluruhannya, kehadiran dianggarkan seramai 150 orang.

Objektif utama Jerayawara ini adalah untuk memberi pendedahan mengenai visi dan mekanisme OAOR yang telah dibentuk di peringkat serantau ASEAN serta kebolehoperasian (interoperability) mekanisme ASEAN dengan mekanisme Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu (PBB) di dalam bantuan kemanusiaan dan bencana (Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief - HADR).

Program jerayawara ini merupakan salah satu aktiviti di bawah Program Kerja ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) yang perlu dilaksanakan oleh setiap negara ahli ASEAN selaku ahli ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) melalui badan pengurusan bencana (National Disaster Management Organisation - NDMO) masing-masing. Malaysia merupakan negara keempat selepas Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia dan Singapura untuk menganjurkan program ini.
