BENGKEL PEMBANGUNAN DAN PENYEDIAAN DOKUMEN MEKANISME INSPEKTORAT PENGURUSAN OPERASI BENCANA NADMA TAHUN 2024 | 3 hingga 6 September 2024 | HOTEL EXCELSIOR IPOH, PERAK
 
Amanat Pengurusan Tertinggi NADMA telah disampaikan oleh YBrs. Tuan Meor Ismail bin Meor Akim, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah (Operasi) NADMA untuk perhatian para peserta, urus setia dan penceramah yang merupakan tenaga pakar yang diundang khas daripada Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
 
Bengkel ini telah disertai oleh 22 orang warga NADMA daripada setiap seksyen dan 3 orang jemputan khas daripada Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM), Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM) dan Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (APM). Selain itu, YDH DCP Datuk Mazli bin Mazlan, Pengarah Seksyen Pelaksanaan Operasi dan Tuan Ir Hanizan bin Deraman, Pengarah Seksyen Mitigasi juga turut hadir dalam memberikan komitmen sepanjang bengkel berlangsung.

6 September 2024 - Telah berlangsung The 1st Meeting of ICT Advisory Group on Disaster Management yang dianjurkan oleh AHA Centre, Jakarta, Indonesia. Mesyuarat ini dihadiri oleh semua wakil negara-negara ASEAN yang objektif utamanya adalah membincang dan memanfaatkan penggunaan ICT dalam pengurusan bencana.
 
Wakil NADMA ialah En. Nazaruddin bin Sharaai, Pengarah Pusat Kawalan Bencana Negara (NDCC) dan Puan Zurriyati binti Ya’kub, Ketua Penolong Pengarah Seksyen ICT. Mesyuarat ini dipengerusikan oleh negara Brunei dan dibantu oleh negara Singapura selaku timbalan pengerusi.
 
Mesyuarat diadakan dalam dua (2) sesi iaitu sesi pertama melibatkan pembentangan oleh pihak AHA Centre berhubung inisiatif-inisiatif ICT yang telah dan akan dilaksanakan bagi memperkasakan penggunaan ICT khususnya di bawah ICT Roadmap on Disaster Management for 2025 and Beyond.
 
Sesi kedua pula melibatkan pembentangan oleh pihak perunding AHA Centre berhubung pelaksanaan AHA Centre’s Grant and Partnership Management System (ATLAS) dan Establishing Supply Chain Management System for Emergency Response.

The 3rd Project Steering Committee Meeting (PSC) for the Disaster Emergency Logistics for ASEAN (DELSA) Phase IV Project | 29 August 2024 | Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
 
The Director (Policy) NADMA Malaysia co-chaired the Meeting together with the representatives from NDMO Singapore and Myanmar. The Meeting was attended by members of the PSC namely the NDMOs from Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand as well as the Mission of Japan, ASEAN Secretariat, AHA Centre and the Japan-ASEAN Integrated Fund (JAIF) Management Team.
 
The meeting discussed on progress of key activities and project implementation of the DELSA Phase IV Project, including the follow up on the relevant decisions of the 2nd PSC Meeting for the DELSA Phase IV Project.
 
The Meeting was co-hosted by NADMA Malaysia together with the AHA Centre with the support from the Sabah State Government.

The 19th Meeting of the ASEAN Technical Working Group on Civil-Military Coordination (TWG on CIMIC) | 29 August 2024 | Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
 
The Director (Policy) NADMA Malaysia co-chaired the Meeting together with the representatives from NDMO Singapore and Myanmar on the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM) side as well as Lao PDR as the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM) chair. The Meeting was attended by members of the ACDM WG on PRR and members of the ADSOM namely Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand as well as the ASEAN Secretariat, AHA Centre and Timor Leste as observer.
 
Apart from exchanging views on enhancing civil-military coordination, the meeting also discussed Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) efforts in the defence sector. The ASEAN TWG on CIMIC Meeting was first convened in 2015 and had been established as an avenue for ASEAN civil and defence sectors to gather and discuss measures to enhance civil-military coordination on regional HADR efforts.
 
The Meeting was co-hosted by NADMA Malaysia together with the ASEAN Secretariat with the support from the Sabah State Government.
