KUCHING (Jan 8): Scheduled waste collection services in several localities have been delayed following recent heavy rainfall and flooding, which affected staff mobility, according to Trienekens Sarawak Sdn Bhd.
“Due to the recent heavy rainfall and flooding affecting several areas, some of our staff have been unable to report for duty. As a result, waste collection services in certain areas have experienced delays,” the company said in a notice.
To address the situation, Trienekens is deploying additional crews and optimising resources daily to ensure accumulated waste is cleared efficiently.
Acknowledging the inconvenience to residents, Trienekens reiterated its commitment to public health and hygiene.
The company also thanked affected communities, the Public Health, Housing and Local Government Ministry, and local councils for their support and patience.
