Thunderstorm warning issued for KL, Putrajaya, Selangor and nine other states

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for 10 states, as well as Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, with heavy rain and strong winds expected to continue until 1am on Monday.
MetMalaysia, in a statement shared on its Facebook page, said the weather advisory applies to the entire states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, and Selangor, as well as Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
The alert also covers Jelebu in Negri Sembilan and six areas in Pahang, namely Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, and Temerloh.
Jeli, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang in Kelantan are also expected to experience inclement weather.
In Sarawak, several divisions have been placed under alert, including Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman (Lubok Antu), Sarikei (Julau), Sibu, Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu (Tatau), and Limbang.
In Sabah, the areas placed under a similar advisory include Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau, Tambunan, and Ranau.
