MIRI (Feb 16): Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak is demanding an explanation from the relevant authorities regarding the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder disruptions that have lasted for nearly two weeks.
Its chairman Roland Engan said they have received public complaints about the issue since last week.
“It has been found that this LPG supply issue has affected many areas across Sarawak.
“If it persists, it will impact parents preparing to enrol their children in school this weekend,” he said in a statement on Friday.
Roland also urged all parties not to take advantage of the situation by increasing LPG cylinder prices.
“Such an increase would further burden the people, especially those recently affected by the flood,” he added.
