The Deputy Director General (Policy) NADMA Malaysia co-chaired the Meeting together with the representatives from NDMO Singapore and Myanmar. The Meeting was attended by members of the ACDM WG on PRR namely NDMOs from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand as well as the ASEAN Secretariat, AHA Centre and Timor Leste as observer. Also present were representatives from NDMO Cambodia, WFP and UNDP during the open session.

 

The working group meeting provides strategic directions in the implementation of the AADMER Work Programme outputs and activities under Priority Programmes 3 and 4, as well as other related initiatives within the region as well as globally in order to start possible opportunities for collaboration in present or future for preparedness, response and recovery in disaster management.

 

The Meeting was co-hosted by NADMA Malaysia together with the ASEAN Secretariat and AHA Centre with the support from the Sabah State Government.
