Thunderstorm warning across eight states until 11pm

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for eight states until 11pm today.

This includes three districts in Kedah (Kuala Muda, Sik, and Baling), five in Perak (Larut, Matang Dan Selama, Hulu Perak, and Kuala Kangsar), and one in Kelantan (Gua Musang).

In Negri Sembilan, the affected districts are Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol, and Tampin, while Melaka has also been placed under alert.

In Johor, thunderstorms are expected in Tangkak and Segamat.

Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the warning covers Miri, including Beluru, Telang Usan, Miri, and Marudi, as well as Limbang.

 

In Sabah, the interior districts of Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, and Nabawan are affected. The warning also extends to the Federal Territory of Labuan.
