KUCHING (March 15): The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for several areas in Sarawak, with heavy rainfall expected from March 18 to 20.

According to MetMalaysia, the affected areas include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit), and Bintulu.

“This warning is issued to help residents prepare for any eventualities, including the risk of flooding and travel disruptions,” it said in a statement.

MetMalaysia urges the public to remain vigilant, follow authorities’ directives, and stay updated through its official website, www.met.gov.my, the myCuaca application, and its official social media channels. – Bernama
