Storm warning: Thunderstorms, heavy rain expected over 12 states until 6pm

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning, with thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast in 12 states until 6pm Tuesday (March 11).
In a statement Tuesday, MetMalaysia said the areas affected include Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan (Pasir Mas, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang), Terengganu (Besut, Setiu and Hulu Terengganu), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Bera and Rompin), Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat), Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin) and Johor (Segamat, Batu Pahat, and Kluang).
In Sarawak, the areas affected are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Betong, Sarikei (Pakan, Sarikei and Meradong), Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro), and Bintulu (Sebauh) while in Sabah, the areas affected are Tawau (Tawau and Lahad Datu) and Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Sandakan).
